and
business consultant
–
allocating
my time between the
rewards of writing assignments, consulting endeavors, and trying
to maintain my sanity in a house full of burgeoning testosterone.
I earned my BA in
Communications and PR with an English minor from
NC State
University. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I
am a southern "transplant" and currently reside in central
North
Carolina with my husband and our two lovable and rambunctious
boys.
As a
member of the
Triangle Area Freelancers (TAF), I am grateful for
the group support and encouragement that prompted me to do what
I love.

I compose nonfiction
pieces for magazines and newspapers, as well as creative
personal essays, poetry, fiction, and
digital
photography.
As a
freelancer, I am privileged to work with editors nationwide and
invite you to contact me.
My writing
has appeared in a variety of periodicals, with recent work published
in
Pinehurst
Magazine,
Triangle
Style,
Midtown, Brier Creek Magazine,
The News & Observer, and on
Examiner.com. My essay,
"Grandma's Hands," and photos currently appear in
A Taste of Taffy: Samplings From the
Triangle Area Freelancers.
Clippings are available
here
for your convenience.

I have always loved to write, and this niche
allows me
to wear many hats: from copywriting
for the media,
to ghosting corporate letters and brochures, to analog
and digital photography.

The consulting part of my job manifested through a lucky series of
supply and demand. Debuting as a web-based desktop publisher, I've
grown into a "virtual project manager," providing services that businesses need without requiring them to hire
permanent staff. From a fully equipped home-office, I deliver professional consulting services to clients on a
contract or project-by-project basis.
Consulting clients include:
The
Body Shop,
Bundles Of Joy,
Crossroads MOPS,
the
Easter Seal
Society of
North Carolina,
Epsilon Sigma Alpha, 1st Choice Properties,
Gobbler's Run 5K,
Kickin' for the Cross,
Kids EveryWear, Management Systems Associates,
Nearly New
Clothing Exchange,
Powell
PTA, Real Estate Promotions, and
Reuben H. Donnelley.
There is no assignment too big or too
small. I just meet your needs, on time and on budget. It's
that simple. Please email me to discuss your special project. A
free, no obligation phone consultation is available to new clients.
Drop me
a line while
you are here; I welcome your
feedback and ideas. If you're
looking for something specific and don't see it, just ask!
Thank you
for stopping by. If you like my work and I can be of service,
